"The
CANADIAN SPRINT CAR NATIONALS"
Time Trials (4 Green laps in one of six designated heat race groups): draw for order; official time is fastest lap of four laps (using transponders). ALL cars are to scale immediately after time trial before returning to pit spot.

MORE THAN 84 CARS ARE ENTERED, AN APPROPRIATE NUMBER OF NON-QUALIFIER RACES
WILL BE RUN TO TRANSFER THE 14TH STARTING POSITIONS TO THE SIX HEAT
RACES)
6 Heat races (10 laps): (14 cars Max) - Heat races to be run in groups that time trial together. Invert top 6 cars in each of the six groups based on time trials. Top 3 cars in each heat race transfer to A-main. Each winner gets time back to line up in positions one through six in “A” Main. (SIX CAR INVERSION) Slowest of the six heat winners will line up in position #1 with fastest assigned position #6. Second and third place cars line straight-up behind the six winners. (Top 3 cars from each heat are to scale immediately at end of heat race before returning to pit spot)
'B'
Main #1 (12 laps):
(22 cars Max) - cars finishing in positions 4
through 14 in Heat Race #1 form straight-up to make up inside row and 4 through
14 in Heat Race #2 form straight-up to make up outside row based on finishing
positions. (heat
race #1 finisher #4 will start on pole; heat race #2 finisher #4 will start on
outside of front row;; etc.) Winner
advances to position 19 of 'A'
'B'
Main #2 (12 laps):
(22 cars Max) - cars finishing in positions 4
through 14 in Heat Race #3 form straight-up to make up inside row and 4 through
14 in Heat Race #4 form straight-up to make up outside row based on finishing
positions. (heat
race #3 finisher #4 will start on pole; heat race #4 finisher #4 will start on
outside of front row;; etc.) Winner
advances to position 20 of 'A'
'B'
Main #3 (12 laps):
(22 cars Max) - cars finishing in positions 4
through 14 in Heat Race #5 form straight-up to make up inside row and 4 through
14 in Heat Race #6 form straight-up to make up outside row based on finishing
positions. (heat
race #5 finisher #4 will start on pole; heat race #6 finisher #4 will start on
outside of front row;; etc.) Winner
advances to position 21 of 'A'
NOTE:
Friday
night guaranteed starters will occupy positions 26 and 27 if required.
The
winner
of
the
"Little
Feature"
will
start
scratch
(30th).
Provisionals
will be awarded to fill in positions after 24th as required.
(Positions
will be added if necessary to accommodate provisionals and/or guaranteed
starters).
If neither provisionals or guaranteed starter
positions are required, the final
five
positions (25; 26; 27;
28
&
29) will be awarded to the
five
highest overall time trialers completing a “B” Main who have not otherwise qualified.
If
a qualified car fails to start before the white flag is displayed to begin the
“A” Main, the second place finisher from the non-qualifiers “Little
Feature” will be permitted to start at the back of the feature field and the
car failing to start will be paid the substitutes winnings from the “Little
Feature”.
'A'
Main (30 laps): cars
1-6 start based on heat race wins and inverted qualifying times as outlined
above. Positions 7 through 12 will be straight up from second place heat race
finishers (2nd from first heat will start 7 th; 2nd
from second heat will start 8 th; etc). Positions 13 through 18
will be straight up from third place heat race finishers (3rd from
first heat will start 13 th, 3rd from second heat will
start 14 th, etc).
Winners from each of three “B”
Mains will start in positions #19; 20; & 21 with “B” Main #1 finisher
#1 starting in position #19; winner of “B” Main #2 starting in position
#20; etc. while second place finishers from the three “B” Mains will line
up in positions # 22; 23; & 24.
If
Friday’s “A”
